Zusammenfassung
Alpakas und Lamas erfreuen sich großer Beliebtheit und ihre Population ist in den
letzten Jahren stark angestiegen. Neuweltkameliden zeigen häufig Erkrankungen der
Haut, was für den untersuchenden Tierarzt eine Herausforderung darstellt. Im vorliegenden
ersten Teil der Arbeit wird zunächst die Propädeutik der Haut mit Aufbau und Funktion
dargestellt. Im Anschluss erfolgt eine Beschreibung der allgemeinen und speziellen
klinischen Untersuchung mit der dermatologischen Diagnostik. Spezialuntersuchungen
und Probenentnahme werden genau erläutert, damit anhand der ätiologisch gestellten
Diagnose eine erfolgreiche Therapie durchgeführt werden kann.
Summary
As there is only little literature readily available, the aim of part one of this
overview is to provide information on specific entities of the skin of New World Camelids
and to provide and diagnostic approach to skin diseases in these animals. The number
of alpacas and llamas has increased considerably over the last years. Dermatologic
diseases are one of the most important health problems encountered and pose a challenge
to the examiner. Skin anatomy of New World Camelids, clinical examination and diagnostic
tests are discussed in detail. The results of the clinical examination leads to an
aetiological diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
